Round the Table Calligraphy is a FREE calligraphy class that is offered occasionally prior to our monthly meeting. Please e-mail us if you plan to attend so we have supplies. The class is open to those who can fit around our table.
Time: 6:30 to 7:15 at the February meeting,
Topic: Pointed Pen Basics.
Always wondering which pointed nib you should try? Wendy will have a large selection of pointed nibs for you to try. What people like varies widely and one person’s favourite is another’s nightmare. We’ll also go over some of the basic strokes which apply to many pointed pen scripts. Limited to those who can fit around a table or two! This session is
suitable for novice as well as experienced calligraphers
MEDIEVAL SCRIPT WITH DR. ERIK KWAKKEL

Remember this month the fourth Wednesday is NOT the last Wednesday. Don’t be a week late for the meeting. We’ll be exploring the world of Weathergrams with Sherry and Wendy. Check out the meetings page for more details.

Our November meeting is Triple Barreled!!
- Well start off with our AGM. Since this is a non-election year the meeting should be very short.
- It will be followed by our annual bake sale. Members who like to bake bring goodies, already packaged and priced for the sale. Everybody gets to buy what looks good to them! Generally it takes only about 15 minutes for all the goodies to be snapped up, so you have to look around prior to the AGM and plan your shopping strategy.
- We have an exciting program planned on The Krafty Envelope.Come join us as Rose shares postage tips, handy for the upcoming 2019 envelope exchange.Brigitte will be sharing her technique for using white gouache and brush pen on kraft envelopes and cards.
Join us for an evening of sharing in our Calligraphy Circle as we focus on Seattletters, the International Conference which was held in Bellingham this summer. Members who attended show and share the work that they did in class.
There will be a short video presentation of the conference and then members will be free to wander around the tables and view the work and talk to the partcipants.
If you have work you’d like an advice on please bring it along too even if it has no relation to Seattletters.
